June & July Update

WHAT I DID IN JUNE

Ministry

As of last month, I continued in my roles for the last month of my MDS staffing internship. These were continuing in co-leading our YWAM Toowoomba cafe, one last Arts and Media track time with the DTS, and leading the logistical staff Bible study during the week.

I have loved being able to be apart of these initiatives, particularly as two of the three, were being pioneered, so this made the experience over the last several months even more special. I loved having this chance to partner with the Lord in a fresh space and a slower pace; where I got to really prioritise and give my all into these areas, especially in the cafe and Bible study.

I graduated from my MDS a few weeks ago now, and loved that I got to celebrate it with those I’ve walked along side over these past 18-months, and get to call them all my good friends. All in all, I am very grateful for the growth personal and spiritually this experience has given me as well as the relationships I have gained.

Personally

As I finished my last month of MDS, I began to get ready for what was next for me. What was next for me? It was, firstly to go for a little sabbatical as I spend some much needed time with family, to rest and recuperate.

Secondly, I had felt from the Lord that I was to come back to YWAM Toowoomba for a season. I have felt to commit to come back from early August.

As apart of my sabbatical, I have come to stay with my family on the Sunshine Coast. This is always a refreshing and fun time as I come back to the seashore and enjoy quality time with friends and family who live here on the coast.

WHAT I DID IN JULY

Ministry & Personally

As I am still on a sabbatical the Sunshine Coast for the remainder of the month of July, I have been making the most of it. Spending time with family and enjoying the beautiful surrounding of Caloundra and places alike. I also have been utilising this time to plan and strategise with God for present and future endeavours.

I got the privilege of going to a worship festival called ‘Tehillah’, this was located in Kenilworth, Sunshine Coast. I was there for the whole weekend that it ran, as I was blessed by the ticket from my friend. Worship was 24/7 for three days, and I am so grateful for the obedience of the people who ran this event ‘ P & W ‘.

There was so much fruit and refining happening for me, and I’m sure many others were impacted in this way. Wow. If I could sum up what I took away, it would be a ‘reprioritising’ of Jesus in our lives, because He is so worthy.

I also got the opportunity to host my friend Jess, that I did my MDS with, as she was on her way back home from completing MDS also. She stayed on the sunny coast with me for two days, and we got up to many fun adventures together, we climbing ‘Mount Coolum’, showed her where I grew up in ‘Palmwoods’, explored ‘Kondilila Falls’, and frolicked down a cute, cottage like town called ‘Montville’.

All in all, I have appreciated this month here on the sunny coast. A time of stepping back with God, to reflect on the past 2 years in YWAM, to refresh with family, friends and being back home and to recentre my focus and my vision for the future with God.
