I stepped into logistical ministry.
As I stepped into new areas of ministry on our base, I stepped into new domains of what missions can look like. I began to work in our cafe space, the base hospitality, and in the media department. I learnt how to serve more wholeheartedly and intentionally.
I learnt it wasn’t exactly about ‘what’ I did but ‘why’ I did it, and the heart behind it. For it can be easy to fall into the monotonous rhythms of the day-to-day to-do lists. But was I doing what I was doing because I desired to honour people through it, honour the environments given to me and to honour God through it all?
No matter what we do, we need to ask ourselves, is it rooted in LOVE? How are we loving through what we do? This was something I was learning as I served in these roles late last year.
I definitely left these areas of ministry more passionate about them, then when I began and I can see how God grew me during those few months.
